This guide explains license keys for your Aura Air device, including how to activate them, when they expire, and how to renew your license.

What is a License Key?

A license key is a unique code that activates your Aura Air device and enables full functionality in the app. Every new device and replacement filter includes a license key that validates your product.

When You Need a License Key

You'll need to enter a license key when:

Setting up a new Aura Air device for the first time
Installing a replacement filter
Your current license has expired
Reactivating a device that was deactivated

License Key Activation

Activation Screen

When your device requires activation, you'll see:

Message: "This device is not activated. Please enter a license key."
Input Field: Enter your license key here
Activate Button: Confirm and activate your device
Cancel Option: Exit without activating

Activation Steps

Locate your license key (The email with which you purchased the device)
Tap on the device that needs activation
Enter the license key in the input field
Tap "Activate" to complete the process
Your device is now active and ready to use

License Key Validity

Expiration Period

Duration: License keys are valid for one year from activation date
Activation Date: Starts when you first enter and activate the key, not from purchase date

What Happens When License Expires When your license expires:

Device monitoring stops working
You cannot change device settings
The "Activate Device" screen appears when you open the device
You'll need a new license key to restore functionality

Renewing Your License

How to Get a New License Key

To renew your expired license:

Purchase a Replacement Filter
- Buy a new Aura Air replacement filter
- Each filter includes a new license key
Activate the New License
- Open your device in the app
- Enter the new license key
- Tap "Activate"
- Your device is now licensed for another year
