Consumer App: Understanding Your Device's LED Colors

This guide explains what every LED color and pattern means and what action, if any you need to take.

Your Aura Air device uses a single LED indicator to communicate its current status. 


*If the LED is off and you're not sure what's happening, press the button on the device for 4 seconds to enter connectivity mode and make the LED visible again.

 

LED Quick Reference

Use the tables below to quickly identify what your device's LED is telling you.

 

Green LED — Pattern

What It Means

Blinking green (slow)

Device is in Listening Mode — ready for WiFi setup. Waiting for connection via the app.

Blinking green (fast)

Factory reset is starting. Keep holding the button.

Breathing green (pulse)

Factory reset is in progress. Wait — do not unplug.

 

Blue LED — Pattern

What It Means

Blinking blue

Device is connecting to your WiFi network.

Fast blinking blue

Successfully connected to WiFi — now connecting to the Aura cloud.

1 blue flash

Quiet Mode selected (via button press).

2 blue flashes

Regular Mode selected (via button press).

3 blue flashes

Maximized (Turbo) Mode selected (via button press).

4 blue flashes

Auto Mode selected (via button press).

 

White LED — Pattern

What It Means

Breathing white (pulsing)

Device is working normally and purifying your air. No action needed.

Flashing white

No WiFi connection. Check your network and retry pairing if needed.

 

 

 

 Magenta / Dark Pink LED — Pattern

What It Means

Breathing magenta (pulsing)

Device is in Safe Mode — trying to reconnect due to an internal issue. Our technical team is automatically notified.

Blinking magenta

Firmware update is in progress. Do not unplug the device.

 

Orange LED — Pattern

What It Means

3 orange flashes

Power Off mode selected (via button press).

Blinking orange

Device cover is open. Reattach the cover securely to resume normal operation.

 

Red LED — Pattern

What It Means

Blinking red

High CO or smoke concentration detected. Ventilate the area immediately and check your environment.

 

Changing the Operating Mode Without WiFi

After a software update, you can change the device's operating mode directly using the button on the device — no app or WiFi needed.

 

Press the button briefly (1–2 seconds) to cycle through modes in this order:

Quiet  ►   Regular  ►  Maximized   ►  Auto  ►   Off  ►  Quiet

 

The LED will flash to confirm the selected mode:

  • 1 blue flash = Quiet Mode
  • 2 blue flashes = Regular Mode
  • 3 blue flashes = Maximized (Turbo) Mode
  • 4 blue flashes = Auto Mode
  • 3 orange flashes = Power Off

 

Listening Mode — Blinking Green

Your device is in Listening Mode and ready for WiFi pairing when the LED blinks green slowly.

To manually enter Listening Mode at any time:

  1. Press and hold the button on the device for 3–5 seconds.
  2. The LED will start blinking green.
  3. Open the Aura Air app and follow the pairing instructions.

 

* If the LED does not turn green, make sure the device is fully powered on and try holding the button again.

 

Button Long-Press Actions

The button on your device performs different actions depending on how long you hold it:

Color flashes to confirm selected mode (see above).

3–5 seconds

Enter Listening Mode (WiFi setup)

LED blinks green.

12–14 seconds

WiFi Reset

LED blinks green. Existing WiFi settings are erased and device enters Listening Mode.

Hold + power cycle

Hard Power Reset

Hold button, disconnect power, wait 2 seconds, reconnect while still holding.
