This article explains how to change your Aura Air device's operating mode from the app, what each mode does, and how to set a schedule so your device switches modes automatically.
Operating Modes
The Aura Air app offers five operating modes. Each mode controls how hard your device's fan works and how quickly it cleans the air.
Mode | What It Does | Best For |
✦ Auto Mode | The device monitors air quality in real time and adjusts fan speed automatically. No manual input needed. | Everyday use — recommended for most users. |
☽ Quiet Mode | Runs the fan at its lowest speed for near-silent operation. | Sleeping, working, or any time you need a quiet environment. |
≋ Regular Mode | Operates at a standard, balanced fan speed for consistent purification. | Daily use when Auto Mode is not preferred. |
⚡ Maximized (Turbo) | Runs the fan at full power for the fastest possible air cleaning. | High-pollution events, cooking odors, or after guests leave. |
⏻ Power Off | Turns the device off completely. The device card will show N/A for AQI. | When the device is not needed. |
? Auto Mode is recommended for most situations. The device will speed up automatically when it detects poor air quality and slow down when the air is clean.

After selecting a mode:
- The new mode appears on your device card immediately.
- No device restart is needed.
- The AQI circle color and status message on the Simple view will update to reflect the current air quality.
Setting a Mode Schedule
You can set a schedule so your device switches modes automatically at specific times — for example, switching to Quiet Mode at bedtime and back to Auto Mode in the morning.
How to Set a Schedule
- On the Home screen, tap the gear icon or long-press your device card.
- Tap Schedule mode from the menu.
- On the Aura Schedule screen, set your Start and End times.
- Select the Mode you want the device to run during the scheduled period: Quiet, Regular, Maximized, or Off.
- Optionally, toggle Aura LED on if you want the ambient light to activate during the scheduled period.
- Tap Confirm Schedule to save.
? A common schedule: Quiet Mode from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM for silent overnight purification, with Auto Mode running during the day.
? You can disable the schedule temporarily using the toggle in the device Settings without deleting it.
